1928 paddle & boat hooks
I just installed my paddle & boat hooks in the anchor locker of my 1928 24’ triple. The question is how are the paddle & hook positioned underneath the deck. I have dimensions of them from a 1935 accessories catalog.

Re: Varnish over gold leaf
Thank you for getting back to me with your information.
I use the roll and tip method also.
Just waiting for the weather in WNY to get in to the lower 70"s to apply over my artwork.
85degrees and 85% humidity does not work for me.

Varnish over gold leaf
Looking for advise on varnishing over gold leaf. It was recommended to make sure I remove ALL of the tiny specs of gold left behind. Very nervous about varnishing over the artwork.
Thanks

Re: Clum Switch Lettering
Here is the finished product. Testers modeling paint put in with a toothpick slightly over filled. At 55 F it took 35 minutes to slightly dry enough to wipe the surface with a very small amount of thinner without pulling all the paint out of the indentations. After wiping once I let it setup again f...

I'm looking for a chrome plater within driving distance of Buffalo, NY?
Any one have any experience with Qual Krom or Advanced Custom Chrome both out of Erie, PA?

Thanks

Re: 1958 17' Custom Runabout exhaust pipe wanted
Left over from a CC project (2.750 OD), as a last resort you can take 2 1/2 copper pipe (2.625) outside diameter pipe and slide it into the 2.750 and silver solder together to make something that may work.

Re: Paragon Trans
Ron, Thank you for the info. I contacted Great Lakes and they were very helpful. HF-7 is a bit older than the P-31. Same internals. Same power capacity. Parts availability is a bit better for the P-31, and they have some parts and will sell to the public. Thanks again. Tom PS I searched the club web...

Paragon Trans
Does anyone know what the difference is between a HF7D-R and a P-31-R?
Both are 1:1 and right hand rotation.
Both came off CC 327 F.
The only difference I see is the ski pole mounts easier to the HF7D-R
Any help would be great.

A quick check to see if the distributor is advancing. Remove the cap and see of the rotor will rotate and spring back, if not the distributor is not advancing.

Re: Plank ID
Jim, I will give everyone a good laugh. Years of camping taught me that a propane camp stove boils water really fast. A two burner propane camp stove with a large turkey roasting pan covers both burners. I cut a hole the the lid of the roasting pan (know one uses the lid) at least that is what I tol...

Don't be surprised if you have to steam bend the forward part of the sheer batten to get it to lay right. I had to on my 24' Chris.
Compound bend and twist.

You could remove the dis. cap, then rotate the rotor see if it moves and if it "springs back", That will tell you if the dis. is advancing.
My two cents.

Do I need 4 wheel drive?
Thinking about replacing my Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3 with locking rear differential 2 wheel drive pick up. For the last 10 years I have launched /towed my 21' glass inboard (4000 lbs) with no problems. Hoping to finish my 1928 24' flat deck triple (5000 lbs) in the next few years. The question is do...
