This is a great idea, worthy of support by anyone that owns a Chris Craft. On a much smaller scale, at the museum on Lake Hopatcong we digitized our photos and lake magazine collections and it has been a valuable research tool.

Thank you Bill. This message from Bill should give all an sample of what Bill does for this club on a daily basis. I have spoken with Bill over the years and this is really just a sample. There is a heck of a lot more involved than "just" maintaining Boat Buzz and the Brass Bell (the Bell alone is a...

There is lingering animosity, probably because people are logging in and haven't read all the posts. Before you post something go back to previous post before you send your posts. I still encourage all of you to be positive. Offer to help, don't beat me up, that won't help. I'm the messenger, I'm t...

I would get that apology post ready, you are going to need it. The CCABC & BB are very lucky to have Bill doing what he does, as we were having Wilson before him. What you wrote is reprehensible at best, and the fact they you did not speak with Bill before making the accusations you did show at lack...

Lake Hopatcong

Don Our lake is a combination. One lake were created from two natural lakes when a dam was built to provide a water source for the newly built Morris Canal in the mid 1800's. The dam was left in place when the canal was abandoned. At it's deepest the lake is about 60ft deep. From the late 1880's unt...

Bill, Mark Thanks for your kind words about our show. We had record crowds, beautiful weather and I think everyone had a great day. As with so many shows, it all happens due to the hard work of many who care. We leave the weather to the big Guy! The yacht club building turns 100 yrs old on July 9th....

My wife and I could not come up with a name. All our great ideas were to large to fit. I suggested that meant we needed an additional boat with a larger transom. She told me to keep thinking of names. I told her I was going to sit on the porch, relax and think. We looked at each other and said thats...

My boat also came from Lake Hopatcong. My hull card just states it was shipped to New Jersey but I know the buyer lived on Lake Hopatcong. From the posts it sounds like there were two Chris Craft Dealers on the lake, Hockenjos and Lakeland Marine Base. Does anyone know if one or both of these deale...
