I use this stuff called Purple Power, its all the hardware stores. Its purple and a concentrate. Spray it on. wait and spray, repeat. It will remove the paint as well if left on too long. Its great for bilges as well. Use a scrub brush, amazing stuff.

You can rent a flatbead from Uhaul and put it on a cradle. Borrow a trailer to tow it. Then when you are done restoring it, get a new trailer. The trailer you buy now will sit, and be a waste. You can have them X rayed and a machine shop. It will show all the flaws. Thats the ultimate way. They are not that hard to find. To be double sure have your local Machine shop clean them and bake them and check for stuff then.

Jim is right. But if you get someone from the place thats doing your hull, they can come from there with an empty trailer. Might help, the boat repair place I am sure is motivated to help you. Also, there are places on the east coast that can do amazing work on your hull. What state are you in.
