Thanks, that is what I thought it was but hadn't seen one actually in the boat. Given the opportunities for leaks and such I think I will remove it and just use a bilge pump

What is this

I am in the process of restoring a 1956 CC Sportsman. I was taking apart all of the inside furnishings in order to flip the boat to start work on the bottom and when I removed the rear seat I discovered this tube. I have never seen one and I am not sure what it is. Any insight would be helpful.

Changes in Oil Pressure

I have a newly rebuilt Model K that I am currently putting through the break-in process. I woulds estimate I am 5 hours or less into breaking in this motor. Yesterday when I was out on the lake I noticed as the engine came up to temperature that the oil pressure would drop. It started at 30 and then...

Hot K exhaust elbow

I have a newly rebuilt Model K engine. The first on water test the exhaust elbow was hot and bubbled the paint and had a burning smell. Water temp gauge showed in normal ranges. I have read this is normal but does anyone have a suggestion for ways to keep the exhaust elbow a little cooler? Thanks
