I always used a contact cement using a paint gun with a quart bottle . The only way to attach them was to pull the floor screws and cut small holes in the new covering. then new washers and screws use as few as possible and a good spacing is important .If you leave it loose it will lift , slide and ...

USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN FOAMED BACK . JUST LOOK IN A COUPLE OLDER CARS AND SEE IT HANGING DOWN LIKE A BALLON. HEAT MAKES THE FOAM ROT AND THEN THE FABRIC SEAPERATES FROM THE FOAM. YOU WILL HAVE AIR QUALITY PROBLEMS LATTER WHEN THE FOAM DUST GETS A WIND . I HAVE BEEN DOING UPHOLSTERY SINCE 1973 AND Y...

Hidem, is best installed when warm and the trick is to pull the hidem rather than lay it in corners . Since the inside curve is smaller than the outer you must pull the hidem a bit to compensate for the gather at inside edge. Also put two rows of staples inside at corners pushing the welt cords apar...

I do not know who sells that style . But i do know the original boat tacks for American boats were blue tacks just every day tacks. they will hold up just fine in your boat if any concers once in place wipe with a oil rag then hang seat. I have redone boats after 80 years and the tacks were fine, so...

Re: Need help with final touch on Capri Interior
Oh , some problems arise when the vinyl is cut in the wrong direction from the roll. The vinyl has more stretch across the roll than up the roll. CUT THE CRASH PAD UP THE ROLL OR RAILROADED. All the vinyl for crash pad is cut in the same direction up the roll. this allows for more stretch to get aro...
